Student Message Board

The Bucks New Studentpad Student Message Board is a free service for students to meet and chat with other students who want to live together in the Buckinghamshire area. Use the message board to find available rooms and flatmates, or to let students know if there is a room spare in your student house.

Safety advice for you and your money!

• Try and view the accommodation before you sign any agreement and ask to see a copy of the tenancy agreement. Never sign or pay for anything unless you are satisfied this is the place for you. Remember you are signing a legally binding contract which often means you will be unable to get out of it without paying for the entire period (unless your landlord is open to some negotiation!)
• Check which tenancy deposit scheme the landlord will be using.
• Ask to see a copy of the gas safety certificate if there is gas on the premises (this is a legal requirement).
• NEVER pay anything via Western Union or Moneygram; it is far better to pay by bank transfer
